2007 Summer Show
Ravishing roses and fantastic floral art were among the colourful exhibits at the EHA Summer Show on the 16th June and an increased number of entries – including many exhibiting for the first time – contributed to the great success of the show. The Mayor, Councillor Jean Steer, visited the show for the first time as Mayor and spent time looking at all the exhibits and enjoying tea and cakes before presenting the awards. We look forward to seeing her again at the next show.
A big thank you goes to everyone involved including all exhibitors, those helping out in the kitchen providing the ever popular tea and cakes, those selling raffle tickets and selling plants and to those helping out ‘behind the scenes’ with the cake and jam making, plant donations and setting up and dismantling of the show. As always, the Floral Art Group, led by its Chairman Sheila Stracy, created some stunning displays and our congratulations go to them and all show winners:
