A talk by RHS award winning designer Janette Dollamore will provide inspiration for you and your garden for the new year. Trained at Merrist Wood college, Janette designs, plants and maintains gardens throughout the south east.

Feb 15th - 9 Memories of the EHA Trip to Cambridge & District and others - Barbara Gollop (Epsom Camera Society)

Barbara, following the success of last year is back to share her enthusiasm with us of making cine films with her cine society to a professional standard.   This is our opportunity to view her  work in a selection of productions brought along for our enjoyment. This time the evening will centre around the EHA trip to Cambridge and & others.

March 21st - AGM followed by: My years as Head Gardener at Little Mynthurst Farm - Mr M C Dobell

Mr Dobell takes us through his thoughts and experiences in his role as Head Gardener of Little Mynthurst Farm.

April 18th  John and Chris Clachan - Pruning Shrubs (Why, When and How to Prune)  

Very much the favourites to EHA members Chris and John come back to remind us of the elements of pruning whilst at the same time share some of the vast experience as gardeners with you.   Of course if you do have specific issues in your garden, they may be able to answer them too.

May 16th Hardy Geraniums – The history & Propagation  - Jacqueline Aviolet  

 Jacqueline has been running her nursery for 23 years. At this talk she tells the six million year story which has lead to you being able to grow them in your garden.

September 19th The Autumn Garden and Preparation  for Spring – Paul Patton  

 Contrary to what non- gardeners may think, the Autumn season is one of the busiest times of the year. As well as clearing  for the winter it is about preparation for Spring.

October 17th Narcissus- Their Cultivation and Care as well as growing for Showing – Mr M Harwood  

This talk should be of special interest to those of us who have entries within this category in EHA and other flower shows.

December 12th The Modern Kitchen Garden – Barry Newman  

Barry is Chairman of the National Vegetable Society. We are pleased that he has agreed to come along to give us his views on what makes a modern kitchen garden.

 

All talks are held at Bourne Hall, Ewell at 8.00pm.

Entrance for members is £2.00. Non members - £3.00
